Pickford House Bed and Breakfast is a Regency style family home set on a hill overlooking the surrounding countryside at Beckington, near Frome in Somerset. The property is surrounded by a stone wall, giving complete privacy, and in the summer months the swimming pool is in constant use. Beckington was once a thriving woollen village and was mentioned in the Domesday Book and there are some families living in the village whose ancestry virtually dates back to those days. There are two public houses, one of which has a restaurant, in addition to a local garage with shop attached.

There are a great many attractions lying within easy reach of Pickford House B&B including the Georgian city of Bath, the small cathedral city of Wells, Glastonbury, Castle Coombe and Bradford on Avon. Anglela, your host is a cordon bleu cook and prepares delicious evening meals using only the freshest seasonal ingredients. These are available each evening and are 'pot luck' three course meals with coffee unless other arrangements are made. Special candlelight dinners are available and diabetics and vegetarians are happily catered for. We hold a liquor licence so you can enjoy a drink before your meal and select wines from our extensive wine list. A choice of double and family rooms are available, each with colour TV, tea and coffee facilities and information folders. Packed lunches are available on request, babysitting is available and pets are welcome.
