Set high on a hill overlooking the beautiful Somerset countrysidePendomer House offers the rare opportunity to stay in a lovely, historic English country home set in a faultless rural position. Guests have their own wing, including private sitting room, in a magnificent former old rectory that has commanding views across countryside described as the most beautiful in South West England. Although peaceful and secluded, Pendomer House is not isolated but easily accessible to the local towns of Yeovil, Dorchester, Sherborne and Crewkerne as well as a range of excellent country pubs, restaurants, National Trust houses, and other tourist attractions.
This is a wonderfully scenic and relaxing area ideally located for a holiday or short break. We are three miles from Yeovil, fifteen minutes from the A303, thirty minutes from Taunton and Dorchester, approximately one hour from Bath, Wells, Salisbury and Exeter. We are also ideally located for exploring the Jurassic coastline and the seaside resorts of Burton Bradstock, Bridport and Lyme Regis are all within easy reach.
We have four bedrooms available: a twin bedroom with ensuite bathroom, double bedroom with ensuite shower room, and one double and twin room which can be booked together as a family suite or for friends travelling together. All the rooms are traditionally decorated and furnished and are bright and sunny with views over the garden and beyond. They each have individual tea and coffee making facilities.
Pendomer House welcomes children with high chair and toys available. The sitting room has tea and coffee making facilities, games, cards, magazines plus all the local visitor guides.

From Yeovil follow the A30 towards Crewkerne. At the junction with the A37 (mini-roundabaout at top of Hendford Hill) keep on the A30 for approximately 300m to the pedestrian lights and then turn first left into Sandhurst Road, at the Post Office. Follow this road into East Coker and turn left at the T-junction. Turn 1st right past the East Coker Village Hall and then 1st left again, signed to Pendomer. Follow this road up and over the hill bearing right at the bottom. At the next junction Pendomer House is straight ahead. Please approach slowly over the cattle grid and you will see the house is set in the trees.
