The Old Stable Barn Cottage is a newly converted two bedroom self catering holiday property set within the old farmyard at Stratton Farm, near the Royal Bath and West Showground at Shepton Mallet, Somerset. This wonderfully original barn conversion was once the home of working horses and has now been sympathetically converted to provide modern comforts amongst the period charm and character of this fabulous stone built property. Many of the building's original features are evident including exposed timbers and a unique bull's eye window in the bathroom.

The Old Stable Barn Cottage comprises of an open plan kitchen, dining area and sitting room with exposed oak beams. The kitchen features granite work surfaces and is fully equipped with dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave and electric cooker. The sitting room has a cosy log burner, sofa bed and comfortable easy chairs along with a TV and DVD player for your entertainment. A small lobby leads from the kitchen to the rear courtyard where you will find a boiler and washer dryer for your convenience. The courtyard garden enjoys the sun for most of the day and evening and is ideal for Pimms and barbecues!

Rooms Description

Stairs lead from the sitting room to the upstairs landing and a double bedroom with lovely views of the surrounding hills and a twin bedroom. The bathroom is also found on this floor and contains a bath/shower, WC and basin.

Specialities

Short breaks and weekends are available. Well behaved dogs are welcome at a small extra charge. For those who like to holiday with their equine companion we can provide stabling and grazing allowing you the freedom to explore the safe riding in the surrounding countryside. There is private parking under cover beside the courtyard garden. All linen is provided and prices are inclusive of electricity and gas.
