A beautiful 4* Grade II listed guest house which also houses a traditional Victorian flour mill - one of only two working watermills in Somerset.

Burcott Mill offers four star bed and breakfast guest accommodation just one mile from the Cathedral city of Wells, nestled between the Somerset Levels and the Mendip Hills. Burcott Mill is a working water powered flour mill, reconstructed by Devon craftsmen in 1864. There has been a mill on the site for over 1,000 years and there are few such watermills operating commercially today. Our breakfasts have been highly praised by our guests. We offer a selection of locally made organic yoghurts, marmalades, honey and West Country honey-roast sausages and bacon to go with your free range eggs, and of course our wholemeal bread is homemade using our own flour. We cater for vegetarians and vegans, and can accommodate any special dietary needs, given sufficient notice. The accommodation is located directly opposite The Burcott Inn, a fine country pub offering great lunches and evening meals in the cosy restaurant or bar areas.

Burcott Mill is a family-run, family-friendly guesthouse with six guest rooms, two of which are family rooms. Two are located on the ground floor and one has disabled access. All rooms are equipped with Freeview, TV and DVD, complimentary tea and coffee, clock radio and hairdryer. For children we have a large adventure playground. We offer baby listening and supply cots, bedguards and highchairs. This is an ideal base for a family holiday - just a couple of miles from Wookey Hole Caves and within easy reach of Longleat and many other family attractions.

At Burcott Mill we produce Somerset's only Soil Association accredited organic, traditionally milled wholemeal stoneground flour. Well behaved pets are welcome in our ground floor room by prior arrangement.
