Three comfortable four star self catering cottages sleeping two people just fifteen minutes walk from the famous Cheddar Gorge. The surrounding Mendip Hills offer countless short walks, or there is the West Mendip Way, a long distance footpath with beautiful views. The village itself has several good pubs serving food within walking distance and the local shops offer all you are likely to need on holiday. Cheddar is famous for its strawberries in the summer, cheddar cheese and Somerset is well known of course for its cider.

There are a whole host of attractions lying within easy reach of the cottages, including the Kings of Wessex Leisure Centre with a swimming pool and fitness facility. Other activities available locally include fishing, golfing, caving, climbing, horse riding, dry slope skiing and cycling. The cathedral city of Wells is only 8 miles away and has regular markets and a variety of interesting shops. Glastonbury is only 12 miles away and there are many specialist shops featuring local myths, legends and new age culture. Alternatively, visit the city of Bath famous for its Roman baths and Georgian architecture.

Rooms Description

The cottages have been lovingly converted from barns and are built of local stone. Each property sleeps two people in a double or twin bedroom and all have comfortable living areas with colour TV, VCR and CD player/radio. The kitchen area benefits from a refrgerator, microwave oven, electric cooker and washing machine. The large south-facing garden has a lawn, fruit trees and colourful flower borders. Garden furniture is provided so you may relax and enjoy the sun. There is over an acre of grassy field for you or your pets to exercise, always assuming there are no visiting horses in which case the area will be restricted.

Parking your car is no problem. There are ample marked spaces on our tarmac drive, away from the road. Undercover storage can be arranged for bicycles.
