Chapel Barn Cottages have been thoughtfully converted from a Grade II listed 13th Century barn to now provide outstanding four star self catering accommodation for the more discerning visitor. The properties are situated on the edge of the village of Compton Dundon near Street and Somerton and an 18th Century memorial to Captain Hood looks down on them. The property is full of traditional character features, including exposed beams and beautiful stonework, making for a memorable stay.

The two cottages are located on Trays Farm, a working farm which has been farmed by the same family for the last 60 years. The nearby wood are criss crossed with easy to follow footpaths which afford some scenic views of the surrounding landscape, perfect for exploring on foot. The village and pub are a short walk away down the hill, and Glastonbury is within easy reach, with all its culture and history.

Rooms Description

Chapel Barn 1 sleeps 2 people and comprises of a ground floor double bedroom; bathroom with bath, wash basin and WC; fully fitted kitchen with dining area, electric cooker, hob, fridge, microwave and small TV; and a first floor sitting room with original beam, colour TV and DVD player. Outside there is a porch with chairs and a small patio to the side. Chapel Barn 2 sleeps 4 people and is similarly laid out with one double and one twin bedroom. Bed linen, towels, electric and central heating included in the cost. A cot is available on request.
