An historic nineteenth century coaching inn with thirteen guest rooms in Crewkerne, Somerset. An inn of the same name has stood in the same spot since at least 1541, though the present building dates from 1832. One of the most notable features of the property is the rustic archway, leading to what was once the Inn's Royal Mail warranted stable yard.

The George Restaurant offers a range of home cooked meals, prepared by our talented chefs and served in our restaurant, bar or lounge. Vegetarian and vegan meals are always available and our chefs are only too happy to advise on dishes suitable for any special diet. Here at The George we take great pride in our cellar and have a wide range of real ales, beers, spirits and liquers.

The George has thirteen guest bedrooms, eight of which have en-suite facilities. Each room is equipped with central heating, colour television, tea and coffee facilities, hairdryer, trouser press and towels.

Our elegant Wedgwood ballroom is an ideal venue for your wedding reception, party, meeting or seminar. Complete with its own private bar, the room can seat up to 80 people for a sit-down meal or 150 plus for a buffet.
