Bactonleigh Guest House B&B is ideally situated for exploring Minehead, Exmoor and surrounding area. Minehead enjoys a mild, sunny climate nestling beneath the foothills of Exmoor, with a wide sandy beach (recently up-graded with families in mind), an attractive, level promenade with sweeping sea views, a picturesque 'old town' and small fishing harbour. There are an abundance of interesting shops, galleries, tea rooms and cafes, a health & fitness centre, golf, swimming pools, bowling green, family activities and pleasure gardens, all within handy walking distance. Several way-marked paths and bridalways lead up onto the heather-clad slopes of North Hill which has glorious views across the Bristol Channel to Wales, or dramatic sunsets across Porlock Bay and Bossington. Historic Dunster, with its National Trust castle and cobbled village streets, Lorna Doone Valley, Dunkery Beacon (the highest point in Somerset), Cleeve Abbey, the Valley of the Rocks and the pretty village of Lynmouth are just a few places to visit. There are certainly no shortage of ideas for a day out within easy driving distance.

Bactonleigh Guest House B&B offers 3 Star Awarded accommodation and comprises of double, twin or family bedrooms with en-suite facilities, beverage trays and television. A four poster room with private bathroom is now available-please enquire. There is also a stair lift to the 1st floor. The Bactonleigh Guest House offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere and great care is taken to provide good home cooking from a full English breakfast to the optional evening meal. A choice of menu is always available and the B&B can happily cater for vegetarian or special diets (with prior notice please). The guest house also have a table license so you can enjoy a glass of wine with your meal if you wish and there is a comfortable guests’ lounge for relaxing in at any time of the day and a television with Freeview. Limited car parking is available on the front forecourt.

Small dogs are welcome at the hotel. We offer spring and autumn specials, along with our year round reduced rates for retired population and children. We can also cater for small group bookings.
