The Promenade in Minehead, Somerset, offers accessible holidays to disabled people, their friends and family. This beautiful property enjoys picturesque views of the harbour and coastline, is accessible to independently travelling wheelchair users and has tfanas category 1 status. Features of the hotel include emergency call points; fixed and manual hoists; wheel-in showers; facilities for the hearing impaired and electric adjustable beds. We do not provide care but this can be arranged through a local agency. We offer as much locally sourced produce as possible on our delicious home-cooked menu. All meals are freshly prepared and cooked and we can cater for all dietary requirements. a full Somerset breakfast is offered along with a selection of cereals, fruit juices, grapefruit segments, prunes, croissants,yoghurts and fresh fruit. If you fancy something that isn't on the menu just ask and we will always do our best to provide it for you. we also offer an extensive lunch menu daily served in the dining room, conservatory or..weather permitting..in our garden overlooking the bay. we pride ourselves on the service given by our pleasant, caring and attentive staff all of whom have been with the Hotel for years and for whom nothing is too much trouble.Upgraded in Feb 2010 to 4 star Guest Accommodation

Minehead has long been Somerset's premier holiday resort and its wide, sandy beach has wheelchair access from the promenade that is linked to the shopping area by a delightful, tree lined avenue. Among the wide variety of attractions to be found within the locality are sea cruises, the West Somerset Steam Railway, Somerwest World and funfair and Blenheim Gardens with its regular live events throughout the summer. We welcome children at The Promenade with children under two staying for free and discounts available for the under 16s. Treat yourselves to a welcome break in warm, comfortable surroundings, lovely views and plenty of sea air where you can be assured of receiving the best attention from all members of staff.

Rooms Description

All of our rooms are en-suite with eight fully accessible rooms having wet rooms. four of our accessible rooms have overhead hoists but we also have two manual hoists available on request. Each accessible room has an electric profiling bed and shower chairs/commodes/ raised toilet seats and other equipment are available. We have three rooms on the top floor which are accessible by stairs only but are available for family members, carers or anyone who is ambulant.

Specialities

We offer fully accessible accommodation in a wonderful location. Our menus are put together to offer the best possible choices to our guests and all dietary requirements can be catered for. We have an electric profiling bed in all of our accessible rooms and offer the use of other equipment ( at no charge ) to all guests. Dogs can accompany their owners as long as we know they are coming with you. We welcome groups of people at any time of year and offer discount for multiple bookings.

Directions

Leave the M5 at Junction 23 Take the 1st exit at the roundabout and head for Bridgwater, the route is sign posted Turn right off Bristol road onto Wylds road, follow the road until you reach the traffic lights ( by Riders, the motorcycle showroom ). Follow the road until the next roundabout, take the 2nd exit and follow the signs for Minehead At the next two roundabouts take the 1st exits, follow the signs for Minehead Follow the road until you come to the roundabout in Williton. Take the 2nd exit following the signs for Minehead As you approach Minehead take the 3rd exit at the roundabout onto Seaward Way follow the road over the railway line. At the next roundabout take the 1st exit along the seafront then turn right towards the harbour ( by the railway station ) We are on the junction of Blenheim road and the Esplanade You cannot miss us... we have a large conservatory in the garden and parking is in front of the Hotel with ramped access into the conservatory.
