Sundial House is an immaculate historic 4 star guest house situated in the moorland village of Wheddon Cross within Exmoor National Park. This character cottage was built in the early 1630s during the Cvil War and has a large stone sundial set into the front of the house, from which the guesthouse derives its name. Set within beautiful gardens and affording spectacular panoramic views across the Exmoor Countryside, guests can watch sunsets over Dunkery Beacon on fine evenings. The guest house boasts charming furnishings and decor complimenting the period property with roaring log fire in the sitting room during colder months. Board games and books are available in the sitting room and Sundial House is non smoking.

Full central heating is throughout, and the highest standards of cleanliness maintained. Our spacious dining room has views over the gardens and countryside and guests can enjoy wholesome home cooking using locally sourced ingredients. Three course evening meals are available by arrangement and discounts are available for stays over 3 nights. Local attractions include the 11th century village church mentioned in the Doomsday Book and the local livestock market. Perfect as a walking base a choice of circular walks are direct from the village and we are happy to advise and lend maps and walking guides to guests.
