Nestling in the shadow of the Blackdown Hills with views of the distant Quantock and Brendon Hills lies Gorlegg Cottage. This immaculate semi-detached cottage overlooking fields where cows and sheep graze, is situated on the edge of Sampford Arundel, a charming Somerset village that is a conveniently situated for touring the whole of the South West. This delightfully refurbished former village shop and post office is positioned in the centre of this picturesque Polden Hills village on the Somerset Levels renowned for walking and birdwatching in tucked away hides. For those who wish to tour the area, there is a wealth of popular beaches, attractions, and many National Trust properties and gardens. Delightful conversion of the original cider barn is spacious, well-equipped and full of character. Attached to the owners' 16th century thatched house it's secluded elevated patio overlooks meadows and a duck pond and enjoys superb views of the wooded slopes of the Blackdown Hills. There are many opportunities for exploring on foot or by car with footpaths and winding lanes linking into nearby forests and nature reserves.
