Ashcroft Cottage is available for self catering weeks and the occasional self catering weekend, with six bedrooms sleeping up to 15. A pretty detached cottage, it has been recently extended and renovated to a very high standard and is set in an exceptional location. We are just 25 minutes from Bristol, 15 minutes from the beautiful Cathedral City of Wells, 30 mins from the Heritage City of Bath, and in easy reach of Bristol International Airport. Whatever you choose, you will find peace and quiet, home from home comfort, spotless rooms, comfy beds, breathtaking views and a warm and friendly West Country welcome.

Ashcroft Self Catering is located on the outskirts of Blagdon village with its famous trout fishing lake, numerous walks and country pubs. Situated on the edge of the Mendips, the property enjoys stunning views in all directions over the Mendip Hills, woodland and across the Channel to the Welsh Hills. The House is set in 1/4 acre of gardens with wonderful views over meadows and woodland. Ashcroft House is also at the top of Burrington Combe, which is a super starting point for many wonderful walks and mountain bike rides. The bottom of the Combe has a pleasant family café/restaurant, an ideal stop for tea and cake or an ice-cream after an essential view of the 'Rock of Ages'.

Rooms Description

Rooms are light, bright and attractively furnished. Beds are comfortable with good mattresses and fresh linens. All rooms have colour TV, hairdryer, lint roller, shaver adapter and shoe shine and refreshment trays.

Specialities

For guests bringing their horses, we offer summer grazing for visiting horses, maps and advice on routes. Despite being situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Ashcroft Cottage is perfect for reaching Bristol Airport.
