Hill House Cottage is located near to Templecombe village centre in Somerset, and has been created from a delightful self-contained wing of a Grade ll Listed early 18th century house. The cottage has been restored and refurbished by the owners to a superb standard, and successfully blends traditional charm with all the modern fixtures and fittings. Character features include exposed stonework, flagstone floors, and a welcoming woodburning stove in the sitting room. The accommodation includes two bedrooms; contemporary fitted kitchen with dining area; and a beautiful modern bathroom. Hill House Cottage is conveniently located within easy walking distance of the local shops and pubs, and within reach of the many attractions nearby including Wincanton, Wookey Hole, Wells and Cheddar Gorge. This cottage makes a wonderful touring base from which to explore this stunning part of England. Templecombe is a village located in idyllic countryside and farmland where east Somerset joins North Dorset, at the heart of the Blackmore Vale. The area offers many attractive views, and the village offers great pubs, village shops and numerous beautiful rural walks. If you like a spot of fly fishing, this can be arranged on the local river with day permits. The ancient town of Sherborne, whose castle was once the home to Sir Walter Raleigh, is only a short drive away, as is the interesting hilltop town of Shaftesbury. This lovely part of the world also offers Glastonbury, ancient Stonehenge, and Stourhead gardens, which are all located within easy driving distance.
